Wireless System Design Engineer
Position Summary
Provide wireless system design engineering to Busy Ant customers in-building coverage requirements. Respond to enquiries from Busy Ant customers focusing on pre/post-sales activities in developing and creating optimum product and service solutions for major customer opportunities. Coordinate with the sales teams to identify customer needs and influence the RFI/RFP process. Coordinate with Busy Ant Product Management & Suppliers to optimise technical content of RFP responses. Support sales to identify infield customer requirements. Coordinate with any other assigned Busy Ant sales teams, as required in an assigned geographical area.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most of the following qualifications and attributes
- Engineering degree and/or five (5) years of progressive technical product/systems experience
- Detailed knowledge of GSM and UMTS wireless standards. Other standards may be helpful such as WiFi, WiMax, Tetra, etc.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of deploying in-building wireless coverage systems
- Ability to function in a sales/customer environment
- Able to function independently and exercise judgment in order to react to situations in a timely manner
- Requires prioritisation and timely completion of a wide variety of tasks and projects
- A high degree of integrity due to exposure to sensitive sales data and strategic product plans
- Effective interface with sales, customers, suppliers and other support groups on a regular basis
- Able to proceed with considerable freedom and conduct own projects, making evaluations, providing recommendations and responding to Requests for Proposals
- A full UK (International) car driving license
- Applicants must be UK based have permission to work in UK, the role is based at our office in Four Marks, Hampshire
- Security clearance may be required
